By collecting mystery boxes while playing players can unlock maps, characters and outfits. There are 53 unlockables in total.
Alternatively they can also input the following combination of keys in the treehouse (game lobby) to unlock everything instantly:
- "R R Shift Shift R R E" (keyboard)
- "Y Y X X Y Y RB" (Xbox controller)
- "Triangle Triangle Square Square Triangle Triangle R1" (PS4 controller)
- "Y Y X X Y Y R" (Switch controller)
To be precise, you have to press the buttons which have the following functions in this order: '"Dance Dance Run Run Dance Dance Rotateright". If this cheat code is used you will not be able to earn any achievements related to unlockables until your game progress is reset. You can do so by opening the uPad in the treehouse, selecting the "Stats" button and clicking "Reset all stats and reset game progress".

- Unlocking a character will unlock the "A New Friend appears" achievement
